Saturday

A more relaxed start this morning, which was much appreciated.

We then joined Tomorrow Clubs for lunch and our afternoon session. Phil shared about the work they do at Pocklington Christian Fellowship amongst the young people from the town, some of whom are quite a challenge. The delegates were interested (and amused) to hear about the yellow card / red card system of discipline that they use at PCF.

Andy spoke about working together to build the Kingdom of God. He took the phrase 'Next to...' from the book of Nehemiah chapter 3 and gave six things that come out of this one phrase - we're not on our own; each one counts; we're part of a wider work; mutual protection / care; not excluding or being excludedfrom the work; the completion of the work. It seemed to be appreciated and there was time for some questions / discussion.

Tomorrow is Palm Sunday, so a very special day for the churches here. We will be joining with congregations at Sion Baptist, Ineu Baptist and Providentia Baptist. Please pray for the Lord to bless our time with each fellowship and that we will give him glory and praise for all that he has done this week.
